The history of the Irish Embassy in Bangkok

The Irish Embassy in Bangkok opened in 2014. The first resident Ambassador of Ireland to the Kingdom of Thailand was H.E. Brendan Rogers. 

He was succeeded by H.E. Tony Cotter in 2018. The current Ambassador of Ireland to the Kingdom of Thailand is H.E. Patrick Bourne, who was appointed in 2022.

The opening of the Irish Embassy in Bangkok in 2014 coincided with the 40th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Ireland and Thailand. The first resident Ambassador of Ireland to Thailand was H.E. Brendan Rogers, followed by H.E. Tony Cotter.  The current  is H.E. Pat Bourne.
