On 10 December 2016, Embassy of Ireland diplomats were delighted to attend the annual Christmas dinner hosted by the Irish Club in the Netherlands.

The Embassy of Ireland diplomats were delighted to attend the annual Christmas dinner of the Irish Club in the Netherlands at the Carlton Ambassador Hotel in The Hague. The event was attended by the Irish community resident in the Netherlands. The evening featured carol singing and traditional Irish dancing, along with a fundraising raffle and awards acknowledging the achievements of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) players in the Netherlands.

The Irish Club in the Netherlands was founded in 1984 to provide a focal point for Irish people living in the country, and provides social and cultural links with the Irish community in many parts of Europe. With the growing number of Irish people settling here, the club plays a central role in providing cultural and social links with the Irish community in many parts of Europe.
