Retiring to Ireland

Coming Home

Many Irish people also wish to return to Ireland to retire. Irish citizens returning to Ireland have an automatic right to reside here.  There are however, a number of issues that need to be thought about if considering retiring to Ireland such as pension, taxation, housing and health services.

Safe Home, an organisation funded by the Irish Government under the Emigrant Support Programme, provide a range of advice and support services to those thinking of returning to Ireland with many of their services are aimed at those considering retirement here.
