Travel advice: In light of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the Irish government advises against all travel to and from countries in South America including Chile, Ecuador & Peru. Detailed travel advice is available here.

Travel to Ireland: As part of a wide range of travel measures and in light of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, visa-free travel to Ireland for nationals of all South American countries, including Chile, will be suspended from midnight on the 27 JanuaryThis will remain in place until at least the 5th of April.

Visas: As part of the combined efforts to tackle COVID-19 and to ensure customer safety, the Department of Justice has taken the decision to temporarily cease accepting new visa/ preclearance applications. This is effective from close of business 29th January 2021.

We intend to resume accepting applications as soon as safety concerns abate.

Certain priority/emergency cases will continue to be processed. For further information please see the website of Immigration Service Delivery.

Consejos de viaje: A la luz de la actual crisis del COVID-19, el gobierno irlandés no aconseja ningun tipo de viaje hacia y desde países de Sudamérica, incluyendo Chile, Ecuador y Perú. 

Viajes a Irlanda: Como parte de una serie medidas de viaje, y a la luz de la actual crisis de COVID-19, el viaje sin visado a Irlanda para los nacionales de todos los países de América del Sur, incluido Chile, se encuentran suspendidos. Esta medida se mantendrá al menos hasta el 5 de abril.

Visas: Como parte de los esfuerzos combinados para hacer frente a COVID-19 y para garantizar la seguridad de las personas, el Department of Justice ha tomado la decisión de dejar de aceptar, temporalmente, nuevas solicitudes de visa/pre-clearance a nivel mundial.
