The Embassy was represented at the 2014 GAA Australasian Championships, which were held at Gaelic Park in Melbourne. The Championships brought together 25 teams with over 650 players from 5 Australian States (QLD, VIC, NSW, WA, SA) and from New Zealand (Wellington). Each State put forward teams in the five codes (Senior Football; Minor Football; Ladies Football; Hurling; Camogie), with the players being drawn from a number of different clubs within each State.

Jim Harkin of Victoria GAA; Liam O’Neill, President GAA; Sarah Mangan, Deputy Head of Mission at Gaelic Park, Melbourne.

The Championships were held over 5 days and were attended by the GAA President, Liam O'Neill; the Camogie President, Aileen Lawlor; and the Ladies Gaelic Football President, Pat Quill who had all travelled from Ireland for the Championships.

Congratulations to the winners in each code.
