The Embassy of Ireland is pleased to support the Wellington Irish Society in its plans to commemorate the 1916 Rising.

Following on from its exhibitions over the Easter weekend, the Wellington Irish Society will host a special evening at the Society Clubrooms at 10 Fifeshire Ave, Cambridge Terrace, on Saturday 29 April.

The evening will commence at 6.30pm with a talk from special guest speaker Professor Peter Kuch presenting ‘Play v Play – The 1916 Rising and the New Zealand Stage’.

The talk will be followed by iconic Wellington-Irish band ‘The Filthy Two’ who will entertain with their lively mix of music and to dance the night away.
