Fellowship Training Programme

09 October 2018Applications are now open for scholarships to study in Ireland under the Irish Aid funded Fellowship Training Programme. The programme provides a unique opportunity to study in an international setting and benefit from the top class research facilities available in Irish universities.
The Training Programme aims to strengthen capacity through the training and development of individuals, particularly in public services and the NGO sector.
Fellowships are awarded for full-time study at Masters level, with a focus on courses that are relevant to Irish Aid's development objectives. On completion, Fellowship recipients commit to resume work and put their acquired skills into good use for the benefit of their home countries.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be an Ethiopian national
- Have achieved the necessary academic standard to be accepted onto a relevant Master's degree course in a higher education institution in Ireland.
- Have an IELTS English language qualification of 6.5 or higher at the time they submit their application. Applications that do not provide evidence of this qualification will not be considered.
- Be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to the development of Ethiopia.
- Be applying to commence a new qualification and not be seeking funding for a course they have already commenced or which will begin before fellowship awards have been notified.
- Be able to take up the Fellowship in the academic year 2019/2020.Provide a letter of reference from their employer or other referee
