I want to apply for an Irish visa but I need my passport back as I have to travel abroad before my date of travel to Ireland. What can I do?

You can submit your application with all of the required supporting documents and your passport. If you require your passport back in advance of the decision on the application, you should submit a complete photocopy of your passport (every page) which will enable us to make a provisional decision on your application. Please include a note to the Visa team explaining why you need your passport back.

Once you have returned to Poland you should re-submit your passport to us so that the decision can be made.
