Can someone lodge an application at the Visa Office on my behalf?

Yes, someone can bring in your application to the Visa Office in the Embassy and lodge it on your behalf. However, if you wish them to collect your passport once the visa decision has been made, you must provide them with a letter of authorisation giving them permission to do so and they must bring a form of photographic ID when they come to collect. This applies to family members also.
