Saint Patrick's week in Moscow

The Irish Business Club was supported by the Embassy in organising the annual St. Patrick's Day parade in Sokolniki Park in central Moscow. Thousands turned out to listen to the live music and enjoy the various bands and performers. A unique Irish atmosphere, and a wonderful family day out!

The Parade is but one of many events that take place in Moscow during what has come to be known as "Irish Week". In 2014 we had the 7th annual Irish Film Festival featurig the best of Irish cimena, along with screenings attended by the stars, directors and producers.

With acts like Dara O'Briain, Davd McSavage and Dylan Moran coming to Moscow in the last couple of years, it is not hard to see why the Irish comedy festival (Or MIC Fest) is also gaining in popularity year on year.

We also had the "Bards of Bedlam" festival, which showcases some of the best traditional Irish bands from Russia and Ireland at intimate gigs all over Moscow and beyond.

The "Ticket to Dublin" festival also consistantly attracts some of Ireland's greatest contemporary bands and musicians to Russia, including Little Green Cars, The Walls, Cathy Davey, Mundy and Delorentos.
