Who can collect a passport?

A passport can be collected by:

  • The passport holder in person presenting themselves at the office. The person will have to sign for the passport.
  • A person who presents a receipt for a passport. This person will be asked to produce photographic ID themselves and will have to sign for the passport.
  • A person who is neither the passport holder nor in possession of the receipt. This person will have to produce a signed notarised consent from the passport holder authorising them to collect the passport on their behalf. The person will have to produce photographic ID also and sign for the passport.
