There are an estimated 35,000 Irish Citizens living in the countries to which the Embassy of Ireland in South Africa is accredited. South Africa and Zimbabwe in particular have vibrant Irish communities, supported by Irish societies and cultural groups.

We provide grants to Irish organisations in Southern Africa, focusing in particular on the most vulnerable emigrants
