The Chairperson of the Joint Committee on Foreign Affairs and Trade in the Parliament of Ireland, Deputy Pat Breen T.D. made an official visit to Uganda in September 2014.
During his visit, Deputy Breen travelled to both Karamoja and within Kampala. He met with representatives of the Government of Uganda, Civil Society and members of the Irish community in Uganda.
He also made a courtesy call to Hon. Henry Okello Oryem, Minister of State for International Affairs, with whom he discussed the political and security situation in Uganda and the region.
