On October 29, 2014, a ceremony was held at the Kololo airstrip, whereby Ambassador Dónal Cronin presented his credentials to H.E. President Y. K. Museveni. During the ceremony, the Irish national anthem was played and the Ambassador inspected a guard of honour. Afterwards, Ambassador Dónal Cronin alongside 6 additional Ambassadors also presenting their credentials proceeded to the State House in Entebbe. Following celebratory toasts, Ambassador Dónal Cronin presented a gift to the President, a book of poetry by President Michael D Higgins and an illustrated history of Ireland. The event concluded with photos taken on the steps of the State House.
