Ambassador Dermot Nolan and the Permanent Representation of Ireland to the OECD and UNESCO were honored to organise an evening of Irish uilleann piping and that was hosted by the Paris Embassy and Ambassador Patricia O'Brien with the presence of Ireland's Minister for Education and Skills Richard Bruton, TD.

Guests were treated to a performance by Gay McKeon and guests from Na Píobairí Uilleann during which they learned of the importance of uilleann pipes in Ireland's history, heritage, and identity. The performance was followed by a reception during which guests were invited to meet and greet the performers.
