The Consulate General is located on the east side of Park Avenue between 51st and 52nd Streets. There is also an entrance to our building on Lexington Avenue, between 51st and 52nd Streets. The closest subway station is 51st St Station, which is served by the 6 train. Lexington Avenue/53rd Street station is one block away and is served by the E and M trains.

Please note that, as with most large office buildings in New York City, photo ID is required to access the Consulate building.

Opening hours

The Passport Office at the Consulate General of Ireland, New York, is open to customers Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10am to 2pm. The Consulate is closed to the Public on Wednesdays. You can make a query or lodge an application in person during these times. You can also mail your application to us at the address below. Our passport phone lines are open from 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. Please note that due to current very high demand for passport services, your call may not be answered immediately. We would encourage you to submit your query by contacting us to be assured of a response as quickly as possible.

If you decide to mail your application to us, we strongly recommend that you use registered mail or a reputable courier service. The Consulate cannot be held responsible for applications or documents lost in transit. Passport applications should be mailed to:
