New 'Irish in BC' website
On 17 October 2019 the Irish Women’s Network of BC launched the Irish in BC website. The website is a fantastic resource which contains data and statistics about the Irish in BC and a list of all registered Irish Community groups in BC. It is a result of the Irish Community Mapping Project that was commissioned by the Consulate General of Ireland in 2019 and funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. This project set out to discover the nature and location of Irish immigrants and, most importantly, to reach out and learn about the activities, experiences and needs of the Irish here in BC.
