Dressing of the Manneken-Pis, Brussels

17/03/2023 (09:00-18:00)

Located near the Grand Place in Brussels, the Manneken-Pis is one of Europe’s most visited statues and was created in the 17th century. A Belgian national treasure, the Manneken-Pis will celebrate Ireland's national day in his costume provided by the Embassy of Ireland and Tourism Ireland.

Members of the Irish community and all those who wish to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day are invited to join in the festivities as the Irish outfit is officially unveiled at 11:30 on Friday 17 March (location).

The outfit will be unveiled in the presence of the Ambassador of Ireland to the Kingdom of Belgium H.E. Mr. Kevin Conmy, the President of the Order of the Friends of the Manneken-Pis and representatives of Ville de Bruxelles.

A visiting piper from the Irish Defence Forces will also be present.
