Where do I get an application form

Irish Citizens who are over 18, and currently hold an Irish Passport can now apply online for their new passport. (If you have already applied through Passport Express or your Irish Embassy/Consulate you cannot apply online as this will delay both applications).

Children, first time, and name change applicants and holders of passports starting with only the letter P or L cannot apply online.

If you are resident in Great Britain, you need to use an APS2 application form.

If you are normally resident in Great Britain you must apply through the Passport Office in London, rather than Ireland or another Embassy, using an APS 2E form. This is the case even if you are temporarily outside of Great Britain.

Only Irish citizens are entitled to hold an Irish passport. Before getting an application form and applying, please ensure that you have fulfilled citizenship requirements and that you have the correct documentation.

APS2 forms are available;

  • Renewal applicants applying online do not need a form.
  • First time applicants or applicants who wish to apply by post can contact us via this form with your address and we will post an APS2 form.
  • From your nearest Irish centre
  • From the Passport Office, 114A Cromwell Road, London, SW7 4ES.
