Network Irlandii Event, 18 November 2015

The Embassy was delighted to host Katherine Meenan, Chair of the Germany Group at the Institute of International and European Affairs in Dublin, at a meeting of Network Irlandii.

‌Ms. Meenan gave an Irish perspective on the key challenges facing the European Union, including the refugee crisis, economic governance and the question of the UK’s membership of the EU. Her presentation was followed by a discussion on these issues and an exchange of views on the challenges facing the EU. A reception provided an opportunity to continue the conversation over food. The meeting brought together Polish officials who had spent time working in Irish Government ministries as part of their training.
