Irish Film wins the grand prize at the 2014 Fest Anča in Žilina, Slovakia

Ambassador Callan met with Irish filmmaker Alan Holly who travelled to Slovakia to attend the 2014 Fest Anča in which his short film Coda was featured. The film took Alan Holly and his small team of animation artists two years to make. It was funded by Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board (IFB), RTÉ and the Arts Council and has won several awards including the prize for Best Animated Short Film at the prestigious South by SouthWest (SXSW) film festival in Austin, Texas. Coda was awarded the grand prize at the Fest Anča festival in Žilina, Slovakia. Ambassador Callan sent congratulations to Alan Holly and his team on their success.
