Embassy Services
In response to the outbreak of COVID-19 the Embassy of Ireland will be operating on restricted opening hours.
The Embassy can be contacted by telephone from: 9.00 – 13.00 and 14.00 – 17.00 Monday to Friday. Public visits to the Embassy are by appointment only. The Embassy can be contacted here.
The Embassy of Ireland in Bratislava operates an out-of-hours service for Irish citizens requiring emergency assistance in the Slovak Republic. Irish citizens requiring assistance can call:

It is important to leave a contact phone number and a detailed message setting out the emergency assistance required.
Urgent and emergency consular services will be prioritised during this time.
Applications are currently being accepted for limited catagories of visa applicants. For further information please see the website of the Irish Naturisation and Immigration Service http://www.inis.gov.ie/ or contact the Embassy to arrange an appointment.

Citizens' Registration
Irish citizens travelling or living overseas are encouraged to register their contact details with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade here. When you register with the Department, it means that we have a record of your details. The information will allow us to contact you, and provide assistance, if necessary and possible, if there is an unforeseen crisis such as a natural disaster or civil unrest, or if you have a family emergency while you are overseas.
