Emigrant Support Programme grant to the Irish Society in Uganda

The Embassy of Ireland in Uganda is delighted to present an Emigrant Support Programme grant to the Irish Society in Uganda. The Irish Government’s Emigrant Support Programme is focused on supporting cultural, community and heritage projects that foster a vibrant sense of Irish community and identity.

World Aids Day 2015

For World AIDS Day 2015, Embassy of Ireland staff joined together with the AIDS Information Centre (AIC) Uganda in organising an HIV & AIDS Community Outreach event that linked to the Expanding Social Protection Programme (ESPP) in Kiboga District.

Ireland to be represented at 2015 Euro African Kampala Film Festival

16-27 June 2015

The Embassy of Ireland to Uganda is delighted to announce that Ireland will be represented at the 2nd Euro African Kampala Film Festival from 16 to 27 June. Come and see films from 18 countries across Africa and Europe. Films will be screened at Cineplex Oasis Mall in Kampala and tickets cost only UGX 3,000.

St. Patrick's Day 2015

A reception was held at the residence of Ireland’s Ambassador to Uganda, His Excellency Dónal Cronin, on the 12th of March. This was followed by the Irish Party organised by the Irish Society on Friday, March 13th. The celebration culminated in the St. Patrick’s Day Ball which was held at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel on Saturday, March 14th.

Greening the Equator for St. Patrick's Day 2015

As part of the Global Greening initiative, the Embassy partnered with the Uganda Tourism Board and the Minister of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, Hon. Maria Mutagamba, in turning the Equator landmark green.
