The Consulate General’s Book Club returns with a special Bloomsday edition this June 21, when we’ll read Nuala O’Connor’s Nora.
Nora is an acclaimed portrait of Nora Barnacle’s life together with James Joyce, as the couple and their family moved from Ireland to Switzerland, Italy and beyond. The Irish Independent called it “historical fiction brought lushly to life, laced with glorious prose.” The book was selected as Dublin City’s One City, One Book choice this year.
We will run the book club in a hybrid format, with attendance possible either online via Zoom or in-person at the Consulate premises. If you’re interested, you can sign up via Eventbrite.
