Visit of Minister of State for European Affairs Thomas Byrne T.D. to Wiesbaden

Ireland’s Minister of State for European Affairs Thomas Byrne T.D. visited Wiesbaden on 6 May. During his visit, Minister Byrne met with Hesse’s Minister for Federal and European Affairs Lucia Puttrich and discussed the strong relationship between Ireland and Hesse and the importance of our shared membership of and commitment to the European Union.
Minister Byrne then attended a European Salon event hosted by Minister Puttrich at the State Chancellery, where Ireland was invited to share our culture, music and food with the audience of Irish and German guests, who especially enjoyed amazing performances by both the Irish string band Strung and award-winning Irish dancer Anna Schlie.
