A visa is a certificate in your passport or travel document that shows you're authorised to land in a country. However, there may be a number of other conditions you need to meet before you’ll be allowed to enter that country.

New Visa Application Service

The Embassy of Ireland is pleased to announce that we are rolling out a new visa application service which will come into effect from 15th July via 5 Irish Visa Application Centres across Britain and the Visa Office Public Counter in Cromwell Road will be closed.

From the 15th July 2019 VFS Global, UK Ltd. will be accepting visa applications from visa required nationals who are resident in Britain, on behalf of the Embassy of Ireland.

VFS have five different centres around Britain, to make it easier and more convenient to submit your visa application in person and all applications from residents in Britain must now be submitted through VFS.
To apply, simply complete the online application process, and then visit one of the VFS Visa Application Centres with your documentation. No appointment is necessary - you just need to drop in during the opening hours and take a ticket.
