Can I apply for a passport in the Slovak Republic whilst on holiday / visiting temporarily?

I'm visiting Slovakia but I normally live in another country; can I apply for an Irish passport here?

No, you must apply in the country in which you are normally resident.

Should your passport be lost or stolen while visiting the Slovak Republic, the Embassy can assist you.

Remember

It is worth taking time to read all the instructions on the application form carefully to avoid delays in processing your application. The Passport Office will reject applications that are incomplete, not witnessed correctly or contain photographs that do not meet the guidelines for photographs.
