Whether you want to rent or buy a property finding a place to live is a priority for most people.  There are a number of websites that can help in your search to find a suitable home the most popular of these are www.daft.ie and www.myhome.ie.  Individual estate and letting agencies will also have their own websites.

Getting Around

A comprehensive resource providing information on public Transport for Ireland is provided by the National Transport Authority.

Further information on motoring in Ireland is provided by the Citizens Information service.

Exchange of Drivers Licences

The Citizens Information service provide information on converting your driving licence to an Irish driving licence.

Pets

The importation of pets into Ireland has always been strictly controlled to ensure that diseases such as rabies are not introduced. The EU system of Passports for Pets allows cats, dogs and ferrets to travel between EU member states. This EU Pet Passport certifies that the pet has been identified by means of a microchip and vaccinated against rabies. Pets from higher risk non-EU countries will also require a blood test.
