Our second newsletter comes to you the same week that Ireland began a phased re-opening. This approach is based on the principles of public health safety, being rational about the benefits and impacts, being informed by evidence, being fair, open, transparent and including the whole of society in Ireland.
We have been busy at the Consulate with particular highlights being last Friday’s entertaining #IrelandinSF Virtual Speaker Series event with ultra-runner, film-maker, cancer researcher and all around nice guy Paddy O’Leary and Director of the SF Irish Film Festival and CEO of Biovisability Kate Gunning; the San Francisco community organisation leaders meeting this week where we heard from San Francisco City Assessor Carmen Chu, and discussed how we are all responding to the current situation.
