Central/East European Gaelic Football Championships

​Round 2 of the Central/East European Gaelic Football Championships will take place in Bratislava on the 26th of May. It'll be a great day of sport, with women's and men's teams travelling from Germany, Poland, Italy, Austria and Switzerland. It's an opportunity to learn more about Irish national sports, and to support our local team, the Slovak Shamrocks.

Kick off in Malinovo is at 08.30, and the final is scheduled for 16.55.

Today marks the 10th Anniversary of the Istanbul Convention. Signed on 11 May 2011, this landmark convention of the Council of Europe aims to prevent and combat violence against women and domestic violence. It is the first instrument in Europe to set legally binding standards to prevent gender-based violence, protect victims of violence and punish perpetrators.
