On 29 June, HE Eimear Friel, Ireland’s Ambassador to Latvia presented her credentials to the Latvian President Egils Levits at Riga Castle.

The credential ceremony itself was carried out in person and followed a simple yet elegant formula with an honour guard and salute on the Ambassador’s arrival.

The president expressed great interest in Ireland and extended warm greetings to President Higgins.
