Embassy of Ireland in Latvia marks St. Brigid's with a bookclub

As part of our celebrations for St. Brigid’s Day, the Embassy team in partnership with the National Library of Latvia hosted a Book Club event to read and discuss some modern Irish Literature. The book read was “Walk the Blue Fields” by Claire Keegan. Walk the Blue Fields is a collection of short stories exploring the themes of love, loss, and longing in modern Ireland. The participants of the Book Club event enjoyed reading a book by an Irish author that they had not read before and exploring a different side of Irish literature.
