University of Malta Students visit to the Embassy

The Embassy had the pleasure of welcoming students from the Centre for the Study and Practice of Conflict Resolution from the Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies (MEDAC) at the University of Malta, accompanied by the Director of the Centre, Dr Omar Grech. The students are reading for two Masters degrees: MSc Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University USA and an MA in Conflict Resolution and Mediterranean Security from the University of Malta. Ambassador Patrick Duffy presented on Ireland's foreign policy. This was followed by an interesting and lively discussion on topics including Ireland's contributions in the fields of peacebuilding and conflict resolution, Ireland's development aid programme, Brexit and Ireland's campaign for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for the 2021-2022 term.
