Irish for Pride group 2019.
The Irish Consulate in Austin was delighted to join members of the Irish community on 10 August to celebrate the Austin Pride parade and Ireland’s commitment to LGBT + equality and inclusion.
The extremely hot Texas heat, triple digit temperatures (over 40 degrees Celsius), did not affect our “Irish for Pride” group and the thousands of people that participated in this year’s parade, making it a successful event, full of joy, happiness and inclusion.
A special thank you to the Irish Network Austin, the Celtic Cowboys Gaelic Sports Club, the Inishfree Irish Dance School of Austin, Travis County Commissioner Brigid Shea and for all of the Irish community for their support!
