Bulgaria Updates Entry Requirements for Travelers from Red Zone Countries

From 7 January 2022, Bulgaria is amending its requirements for entry from Red Zone Countries. All passengers arriving from a Red Zone Country MUST present:

  • an EU or similar vaccination certificate; OR
  • proof for recovery from COVID;

AND a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of arrival into Bulgaria.

As of 23 November, Ireland has been placed on Bulgaria’s Red Zone list. Please note that a negative antigen test is not accepted for entry from Red Zone countries.
