30th Irish Festival of Finland

The Embassy of Ireland (Ambassador Ó Floinn and Deputy Head of Mission Caoimh Kett) was delighted to attend the highlight event of the 30th Irish Festival of Finland at Virgin Oil Helsinki on 18 September. Inspiral Dance Company started off the evening, followed by emerging artists the Young Folk and renowned Irish singer-songwriter Paddy Casey. Other highlights of the festival, organised by the Finnish-Irish Society, included performances by Ants in the Pants, Kevin Collins, the ETC Theatre Company, Phil Carr, Droichead, the Green Cottage and Gather No Moss. The Helsinki Harps GAA organised a family day on 20 September as part of the festival.
