What are the passport fees?

The passport fees charged by the Embassy are as follows:

Adults
10 year passport (standard): €80.00 / R1,200.00
10 year passport (large): €110.00 / R1,650.00
Children (under 18)
5 year passport (aged 3-17) €26.50 / R400.00
3 year passport (under 3) €16.00 / R240.00

Other:

Emergency Travel Certificate (ETC): €15.00 / R230.00

Emergency Passport (adults): €55.00 / R830.00

Emergency Passport (children) €30.00 / R450.00

 

If you are applying through the Honorary Consulate in Zimbabwe, please consult with them as to the fees payable.

The Embassy accepts cheques and bank drafts made payable to 'Embassy of Ireland'. The Embassy also accepts card payments. If paying by Credit card, payment will be taken in Euros. Please ensure that the cardholder has signed Section 1 of the application form and entered the expiry date of the card. The Embassy does not accept cash payments.

Please Note: In recognition of new financial regulations, the Embassy of Ireland can no longer accept payments by bank draft drawn on banks outside South Africa. Consular clients from outside South Africa wishing to pay fees by bank draft should arrange a draft in Euro currency. The draft should be made payable to the “Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade”. The Embassy of Ireland regrets any inconvenience caused.
