Statement by Minister Coveney on the Al-Ula Declaration

07 January 2021"I welcome the Al-Ula Declaration issued yesterday by the members of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Egypt and the significant progress which it represents towards resolving the Gulf dispute. Ireland is fully committed to deepening EU-GCC cooperation. A cohesive and unified GCC is in the best interests of all in the region and the Al-Ula Declaration is an important milestone in the development of closer regional integration, cooperation, stability and prosperity. I commend the efforts of all involved."
