Following the visit by An Taoiseach (the Irish Prime Minister), Leo Varadkar in 2018, we are look forward to another busy week for Irish entrepreneurs, artists, musicians and film-makers at this year’s South Southwest (SXSW) Conference and Festival.

IDA Ireland will be hosting a stop on the 2019 Capital Factory SXSW Startup Crawl at the Irish Consulate to celebrate Ireland’s vibrant start-up scene.

Enterprise Ireland will be hosting Ireland Innovation Hour at the SXSW Convention to showcase the world-class solutions that Irish companies have to offer in areas such as smart homes, customer/brand engagement and enterprise tech.

Extra Ordinary tells the story of a sweet, lonely driving instructor in rural Ireland with supernatural abilities. When a washed-up, one-hit-wonder rock star puts a spell on a local teenager, Rose must overcome the fear of her supernatural gift and come to the rescue.
Irish directors Mike Ahern and Enda Loughman have been working together for over ten years on a wide range of collaborations. Their debut feature film, Extra Ordinary, will receive its World Premiere at the SXSW Narrative Feature Competition.
