A Further Shore: the Journey to Good Friday

As part of the programme to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement, the Irish Government, in partnership with Poetry Ireland, produced an event at the Barbican Centre on 5th April. In A Further Shore: the Journey to Good Friday, Olivia O'Leary hosted an evening of evocative and poignant performances from some of the island of Ireland's finest actors and musicians, which told the story of the journey towards peace and reconciliation through poetry, song, music and reminiscence. Performers included actors Cathy Belton, Adrian Dunbar, Peter Hanly, Ciarán Hinds, Darragh Kelly, Eleanor Methven, Tara Lynne O'Neill and Frances Tomelty, singers Ceara Conway and Leslie Dowdall, cellist Neil Martin, fiddler Ciarán Tourish and Kevin Doherty and his band, Telegraph.

The Embassy was proud to be involved in this important event which was held for a second time on 9th April, the eve of the anniversary itself, at the Lyric Theatre, Belfast.
