MoS Byrne with HE Archbishop Gallagher
In July 2021 Minister of State for European Affairs Thomas Byrne T.D. visited the Vatican and met with H.E. Archbishop Paul Gallagher, the Holy See's Secretary for Relations with States (Foreign Minister). The meeting was useful and cordial and Ambassador Hannon was delighted to accompany the Minister. This was the first high-level visit from Ireland since the Covid-19 pandemic began.
