The Embassy of Ireland in Poland is hiring an intern to work as Research Assistant. This is a part-time paid internship and applicants must be available for approximately 20 hours of work per week during the Embassy’s core hours of 09.00 - 17.00, Monday - Friday. 3 June 2017: Equality Parade 2017

Ambassador Gerard Keown has signed an open letter from 45 Ambassadors and Representatives in Poland in support of the Equality Parade, which will take place in Warsaw on Saturday 3 June.

1 June 2017: Bloomsday 2017

Bloomsday is an annual celebration of James Joyce that takes place in Dublin and around the world on 16 June, the date depicted in Joyce's most famous novel, 'Ulysses'.

31 May: Book on Poland in the Irish Nationalist Imagination

The Embassy hosted a launch of Dr. Róisín Healy’s book on “Poland in the Irish Nationalist Imagination, 1772-1922: Anti-Colonialism within Europe” on 31 May 2017.

The Polska Éire Festival is an annual celebration of Irish-Polish friendship.

17 May: International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, Biphobia

The Embassy flew the rainbow flag to mark the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOT) on 17 May 2017.

16 May: Lecture on Constance and Casimir Markievicz

“On Opposite Sides – Constance and Casimir Markievicz in 1917” was the title of the lecture on the relationship between these two fascinating figures in Irish and Polish history.

02 March: Poland is going green for St. Patrick’s Day!

St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated in Poland and around the world every year. This year’s Festiwal Świętego Patryka is bigger and better than ever before! Events will take place across the country and Polish cities will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by turning landmark buildings green on 17 March. Minister Damien English will represent the Irish Government in Poland over the St. Patrick’s Day period.
