Events in the Atlanta Consular Region (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee)
18–20 October: Irish Sierra Leonean musician Loah tours the region alongside Australian Alex Cameron, with shows in Nashville, Tennessee; Atlanta, Georgia; and Carrboro, North Carolina.
22 October: The Stuart A. Rose Manuscript, Archives and Rare Book Library at Emory University celebrates 125 years of Dracula—and the recent acquisition of the Bram Stoker Collection—with a presentation by the author’s great-grandnephew Dacre Stoker. Irish community members who wish to attend, please register as space is limited.
4–5 November: IrishFest Atlanta features performances from folk–bluegrass group Áltan, contemporary group Lúnasa, and local Celtic theatre company Arís.
10–13 November: Young Plato, the award-winning observational documentaryco-directed by Declan McGrath and Neasa Ní Chianáin, and Deora an Deoraí (Tears of an Exile), directed by Pierre Yves O’Reilly, will be showing at the Rome International Film Festival in Rome, Georgia. Kerry Group are kindly sponsoring the screening of Young Plato.
