Mandatory Hotel Quarantine for Travellers from Designated States

The Republic of Moldova and Republic of North Macedonia have been added to the list of Designated States for the purposes of Mandatory Hotel Quarantine (MHQ). This requirement will come into effect at 04:00 on 6th April 2021 for all travellers arriving into Ireland from these countries. Travellers are required to pre-book accommodation in a designated quarantine facility and to pre-pay for their stay. 

Further information is available in the Gov.ie website about Mandatory Hotel Quarantine and Travelling to Ireland during the Covid-19 pandemic. Please note that the list of Designated States will be revised on a regular basis and can be subject to change at short notice.
