15 November: The Middleburg Film Festival features two Irish films, Martin McDonagh’s The Banshees of Inisherin by and Sebastián Lelio’s The Wonder (based on the novel by Emma Donoghue), through 16 November.
6 November: Nigerian Irish playwright Bisi Adigun and Irish author Roddy Doyle team up to reimagine J.M. Synge’s The Playboy of the Western World as the story of a Nigerian refugee in present-day Dublin. The play, which was commissioned by Arambe Productions and is produced by Solas Nua, runs at the Atlas Performing Arts Center through 20 November.
