On 16 August, Irish software company Fineos listed on the Australian Securities Exchange or ASX. Addressing the launch, Max Cunningham of ASX, said Fineos represented the largest foreign technology listing ever on the Exchange. It also represents the Exchange’s largest listing this year.

Fineos founder and CEO Michael Kelly, said he looked forward to further growth in Australia. Six of the top ten Australian life and health insurance companies currently use Fineos software. During a trade mission in March, Ireland’s Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Heather Humphreys TD, officially opened Fineos’ new Sydney office.
