Film Screening – The Great Wall

The Embassy in cooperation with the Centre of Irish Studies, Charles University, organised a screening of The Great Wall at the Embassy Chancery on 31 October, 2018.

Tadhg O'Sullivan, the film director, has lived in Prague for a period of time. The documentary is based on Kafka's story and Kafka's words are the only narrative, which appears there (in German). The fact itself and the film theme - walls and borders, provoked a lively debate after the screening. There were some 30 guests, mostly students, cultural and Irish contacts.

The screening was made possible thanks to Culture Ireland, Irish Film Institute and the Art Council.
