Irish American Writers & Artists will present an afternoon featuring Queens writers at the New York Irish Center on November 19th at 1 p.m. Poets, prose writers, singers and other artists from IAW&A and the Queens Writers Lab will celebrate the great borough of Queens by featuring its home-grown art.

The New York Irish Center’s production of "GREEN & BLUE" from Kabosh Theatre Company will be on Nov 15 & Nov 16. “GREEN & BLUE” is a visceral production about two police officers on either side of the Irish divide, patrolling the invisible line that splits the country in two. Written by acclaimed playwright Laurence McKeown, “Green & Blue” carefully treads the line of drama and humor, portraying an authentic account of life on the Irish border during the height of conflict. Columbia University will host the first event of  ‘A New Chapter: Women Writing Northern Ireland Now’, an ambitious 3-city tour of Northern Irish authors Lucy Caldwell, Jan Carson and Michelle Gallen on Monday November 27 at 6:15 pm. The tour is presented with support by the Consul General of Ireland, New York and the Northern Ireland Bureau, and in partnership with Columbia University, NYU, Georgetown, and Villanova.
