March with the Irish Consulate in World Pride in NY on Sunday 30 June!

March with the Irish Consulate in World Pride in NY on Sunday 30 June!

Building off the success of last year, the Consulate General of Ireland will again march in the New York City Pride March on Sunday, June 30.

2019 is a landmark year for NYC Pride as celebrations will coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots and World Pride is also being held in New York. Together with our friends from the Lavender and Green Alliance and led by Irish Minister for Children and Youth Affairs Dr. Katherinei Zappone, we will march to celebrate the diversity of our Global Irish Family.

All are welcome to take part in this special day by walking with the parade group and with our Ireland float, taking in the fantastic atmosphere, and enjoying music provided by renowned Irish DJ, Fiona Walsh. We welcome LGBT+ and allies alike, and anyone with an interest in or affiliation with Ireland!

We'll be checking people in at the Irish-owned Churchill Tavern on the morning of the 30th before assembling by 1pm on 30th Street between Madison and Park to start the march!

Space is limited so we ask that you register as soon as possible through the Eventbrite link below. Check out that page for more information on the event. We hope to see you there!
